Director Devon Dickson Joins Fresh Film’s Roster

This week Fresh Film, the international production company welcomes Director Devon Dickson to their developing roster. 

Devon was born in Los Angeles into a celebrated film family. His early exposure to cinematography and evocative storytelling helped to shape his passion for film. After attending the Royal College of Art Devon has been directing commercials since 1995. He is best known for his work in which babies and toddlers are featured.

Devon first became interested in working with children from his early storytelling work. Initially he was asked to create a series of films by a small brand, involving a young family and their inquisitive baby. He was amazed by the immediacy of the process, drawing out performances from children just at play. The unpredictable and often surprising characters that children display provide lovely moments on film. Over time Devon has developed a revolutionary working practice that fosters natural performance allowing him to capture the special moments as they occur. 

He has shot commercials for the likes of Kinder, Deichmann and Drontal. In 2016 his Pampers commercial “Journey of Firsts” premiered in the US during the Super Bowl and globally clocked up over 40 million views in just 3 months.

Devon is a great addition to the Fresh Film family of directors and will be represented across their international network.
