Global content studio Pulse Films today announces that Darren Foldes has joined the company as a new US Executive Producer in their Commercials and Branded Entertainment Division.  Foldes, who will primarily focus on sales, will report to Davud Karbassioun, Global President of the division and will work out of the company’s Los Angeles office.

Foldes recently served as an Executive Producer at Caviar, and prior to that he was Executive Producer / Head of Sales at Green Dot Films for over a decade. Along the way he has built up strong relationships and led projects for brands including Apple, Nike, Virgin, Gatorade, Call of Duty, GE, ESPN, Google, Skittles, Toyota and Target working closely with agencies including Droga5, 72andSunny, Wieden+Kennedy, Media Arts Lab, Mother, BBDO, Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Deutsch, DDB and Leo Burnett amongst others. Before making the transition to advertising, Foldes produced two films for MGM. He began his career working for Arnold Kopelson, the Academy Award winning Producer of Platoon, Seven, The Fugitive and Falling Down.

Davud Karbassioun, Global President of Commercials and Branded Entertainment: “We are thrilled to have an executive producer with Darren’s vision and experience join the family. This is the continuation of a strategic transition for Pulse Films in the US, where we are focused on building on the momentum created in 2017 across our connected commercial and entertainment divisions.”

Darren Foldes: "Craft, integrity, passion, and perspective are the attributes that drew me to Pulse Films.  The talent is exceptional and diverse, and the Founders and team of Execs are truly gifted, dedicated, kind and collaborative.  I love that Pulse Films has one foot firmly planted in the present, while the other is whole heartedly stepping into the future.  Their ability to deliver top work whether it be an ad campaign, an innovative piece of branded content, a feature film, or a TV series is remarkable.  Simply put, I couldn’t be more excited about joining this exceptional team at this breakout time in their history."

Pulse Films will also be holding a headline Cannes Lions panel this June with Academy Award-winning director James Marsh (THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING, MAN ON A WIRE) on “Finding Film in Fact, Fiction and Feeling” and the new, broad spectrum of opportunities for filmmakers today.

Pulse Films is an award winning, global film production studio that develops, creates and finances films irrespective of format or platform. It boasts a diverse, future facing and exciting next-generation roster of international, award-winning filmmakers including Michael Haussmann, thirtytwo, D.A.R.Y.L. and Sam Pilling.
