Dancing on Ice Promo by Kirk Hendry Wins Gold at PromaxBDA 2018

HUSH London’s Dancing on Ice promo has won Gold at PromaxBDA 2018 for Best Animation and Silver for Best Entertainment spot.

ITV Creative teamed up with HUSH to create the ambitious spot to promote the return of Dancing on Ice to our screens.

Directed by Kirk Hendry and Produced by HUSH’s EP Lydia Russell, they worked with Stockholm-based post production house Goodbye Kansas to create a magical and touching film in which two polar bears take to the ice.

Hendry and the HUSH team completed the extensive work in just eight weeks. The pirouetting polar bears were brought to life entirely in CG, using a mixture of keyframe and motion-capture techniques. The team motion-captured real ice skaters for the project to accurately capture some of the movements on ice in animation.
