2018 judges award only the ‘outstanding’ ahead of the Creative Circle Ball on May 2nd at Troxy
Today, the Creative Circle announce the shortlist for the 2018 awards following last week’s Gold round judging. All Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will be announced at the Creative Circle Ball, taking place at the Troxy on 2nd May.

Work from the last 12 months saw the toughest round of judging to date. With the awards landscape under scrutiny and many seeking to bring passion and love for the industry closer to how we recognise great work, Creative Circle Gold Judges wanted to bring true value to the awards given out. This year the jury panel deliberated over more entries than ever before, ensuring each piece of creative work was outstanding in the field. The benchmark for their decision making was whether it ‘gave them a pang of jealousy’.

During this process the judges also ensured that submissions were celebrated in the correct categories. Two new categories ‘Best PR Led Creative Idea’ and ‘Design for Positive Change’ were also created to allow the judges to recognise and celebrate the work suited to these new categories.

Jeremy Green, Managing Director at Creative Circle, says: “This is by far one of the shortest shortlists we’ve had at Creative Circle in many years.  Over the past three decades, the number of awards given out across the industry has grown exponentially, particularly as the business becomes increasingly global and content more proliferated. It’s now more important than ever to give awards a real value by honing down on only the very best work. It was a pleasure to see the passion of every one of this year’s Gold Judges poured into their decision-making process – this year’s show really will highlight the outstanding work of UK creative people and companies in 2017/18.”

The revised judging regime comes alongside the award show’s relocation to the East End’s Troxy for 2018 for an even bigger, better and more glamorous event than ever before. Tickets are on track to sell-out in advance, so head over to the Creative Circle website to guarantee your ticket to the biggest social gathering in the UK’s creative calendar.

All profits from this event will go to support the Creative Circle Foundation.
