Agency to launch integrated campaign spanning across the brands’ business categories

CP+B, a member of the MDC Partners network, announced today that they have partnered with Pearl Izumi to create a new global platform for the outdoor brand, which specializes in performance apparel, footwear and accessories for cyclists, runners, and triathletes. In the coming year, CP+B will launch an integrated creative campaign spanning across the brands’ business categories.

“It’s a very exciting time for the company right now, as we prepare to launch re-invented product lines in 2016,” said Geoff Shaffer, VP of Global Brand Marketing, Pearl Izumi. “It's time to re-set our communication strategies to connect the brand with passionate cyclists, runners and triathletes in new ways, but that are true to Pearl Izumi’s beliefs and heritage. We look forward to working with CP+B strategy and creative teams to set the tone for the future.”

This will mark the second time CP+B has worked with Pearl Izumi, having previously launched the “Run Like an Animal” print campaign in 2007. The account will be handled by CP+B’s Boulder office, which is located less than 10 miles from Pearl Izumi’s headquarters in Louisville, Colo.

“Pearl Izumi is a brand with a passionate following, perhaps as fervent within our agency walls as anywhere else,” said Danielle Whalen, EVP/Managing Director. “It might be cliché, but we’ve had a number of CP+B athletes jump at the chance to work on this campaign. Which means we have just the right team to create a powerful global platform and galvanize the Pearl Izumi brand.”
