Karmarama creates new storybook to back partnership with Save the Children

Karmarama, the home of Good Works, is behind a new Christmas-themed children’s book created for Costa, in support of Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day.

Called The Best Christmas Jumper, the book is authored by award-winning children’s writer Rachel Bright and illustrated by Vicki Gausden. It features Costa’s charming Christmas cup characters – Santa, Snowman, Reindeer and Elf and aims to spread cheer and support disadvantaged children this festive season.

The book is on sale in Costa’s UK stores from Friday 28 November until the end December for £1.50, with £1.17 from the sale of each book being donated to Save the Children.

Caroline Harris, Marketing Director at Costa UK Retail said, “We’re really excited to be able to sell this heart-warming storybook in our stores this festive season, and hope that The Best Christmas Jumper will be the bedtime story that makes a difference to disadvantaged children’s lives this Christmas.”

Joe de Souza, Executive Creative Director at Karmarama, says: ‘Costa is one of Karmarama's longest-standing clients, and we’re delighted to be creating this beautiful and charming story for them. It will amplify their role in bringing warmth to the festive season - and also add to the fun of fundraising for Save the Children.”

Rachel Bright, author of The Best Christmas Jumper, said: ‘Everyone deserves to grow up believing anything is possible. Stories have the power to make us all feel like that – but especially the very young. Collaborating on this lovely book has been an absolute pleasure because it really is the gift which keeps on giving – since by buying it you’ll not only be giving once – but a thousand times over, by supporting the work of Save the Children. So don your best festive jumper, dig out some pennies and take this festive five’s adventure home today!’

Douglas Rouse, Corporate Partnerships Director at Save the Children commented:  “We’re delighted to be benefitting from Costa’s The Best Christmas Jumper book. It’s a great story, not only celebrating Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day, but also raising money for our work in the UK. Through our partnership, Costa is helping to give children the reading skills they need for a brighter future.”
