As Effie Canada officially opens their call for entries, they are looking back at 25 years of the CASSIES Awards to celebrate just some of the most iconic and effective campaigns in Canadian advertising. Effie Canada has officially replaced the CASSIES in this inaugural year as the Canadian marketing industry continues to push farther onto the international stage, leveraging this globally recognised brand that celebrates and champions marketing effectiveness.
These marketing campaigns from the past 25 years (the lifetime of the CASSIES Awards) represent some of the best creative work Canadian agencies and advertisers have produced. They are set to inspire the 2019 entrants as they submit their 2017-2018 campaigns for consideration.
“The CASSIES celebrated some of the most memorable marketing efforts this country has ever seen,” said Darrell Hurst, director of Effie Canada. “They became a part of Canadian culture and the fact that we still remember these campaigns today is a testament to their effectiveness.”
