VCCP Sydney's campaign is the first that the Cancer Council has ever created and it aims to drive awareness of their vital services

Challenger agency VCCP Sydney, has launched a new brand campaign and creative platform for Cancer Council in Australia to drive awareness of their vital services.

The number of Australians living with or beyond cancer is expected to increase by a staggering 72% in the next 22 years, meaning Cancer Council and their services will become more important than ever before.

The campaign 'Every minute, every hour, every day' highlights the always on approach of Cancer Council in helping all Australians affected by cancer  through support, research, prevention and advocacy, as well as shedding light on the vital services people's donations help fund.

Through cinema, TV, digital and a series of revealing online films featuring people from all walks of life affected by cancer, the campaign gives Australians a unique insight into the importance of Cancer Council's work including Transport to Treatment, online community forums, Cancer Council accommodation and wig services, Indigenous community support groups, SunSmart programs, world-class research and its 13 11 20 information and support line.

The campaign was shot by photographer/director Toby Dixon through Flint Productions, featuring real people with real stories who turned to Cancer Council for help.  The films are a raw and powerful testament to the vital work Cancer Council funds through the generous donations of Australians.

Says Gary Dawson, ECD, VCCP Sydney: "Cancer never rests, and for that reason neither does Cancer Council. Our aim is to reveal the vital work and services this great organisation provides. It's been a privilege to tell their story and I'd like to thank everyone involved who gave up their time to speak frankly, honestly and compassionately about the impact of Cancer Council on their lives and our agency production partners for their passion, time and commitment to helping bring these stories to life."

Says Professor Sanchia Aranda, CEO of Cancer Council Australia: "Looking ahead to a future when almost 2 million Australians will be living with or have survived cancer, Cancer Council will continue to work with the community to support those affected.  This new campaign will help Australians understand the range of ways we can offer vital support.

"It's been an absolute pleasure working with VCCP who have developed a moving and honest campaign. We really appreciate all their hard work - particularly the additional pro-bono hours they have put in beyond our original scope of work."

Cancer Council support services vary across state and territories. Call 13 11 20 for service information in your state or territory.
