From a smart wheelchair to a device for creating the perfect doggy selfie, check out the Grand Prix winners

Last week the APAC ad community gathered in Pattaya Thailand to celebrate the best of the region's work. The full list of winners can be enjoyed here, but in the meantime enjoy the Grande Lotus winners.





Gravity Cat

Bend the laws of physics in this twisty film for the PS4 game Gravity Rush 2 from Hakuhodo and director Show Yanagisawa.  The film won two Grande Lotus awards, the Branded Content Grande Lotus and the Film Craft Grande Lotus.


Now or Never

Egypt's oldest and most loyal football fans rap it out in this spot from FP7/Cairo and Good People, which won the Film Grande Lotus.



Cogy

A double-whammy for TBWA\Hakuhodo for their ingenious wheelchair Cogy, which helps even those suffering quadriplegia and Parkinson's to pedal themselves. The chair took home both the Design Grande Lotus and the Innova Grande Lotus.


Selfie STIX

At last, a solution to that conflict that arises when you're an assiduous social media updater but your canine friend refuses to play along. Colenso BBDO have figured out how to capture your pooch's attention with Pedigree and Dentistix, winning a Grande Mobile Lotus for their efforts.



Immunity Charm

The Lotus Roots Award recognises work that zeroes in on specific local insights rather than relying on broad generalities. The immunity Charm transforms a traditional childhood lucky charm into a simple and easy-to-read medical record, helping professionals keep track of kids' immunisation history in parts of the world where paperwork can be hard to keep track of. McCann Worldgroup India took home the Grande Lotus Roots trophy.



Sweet Change

Indian consumers love cold hard cash, so it was a tough behavioural challenge for agency McCann Worldgroup India to change those habits. In order to convince their audience to use contactless and cards rather than cash they turned the sweets often used as change into a media channel. The campaign's creative approach to media saw it take home the Grande Media Lotus.



The Child Replacement Programme

They don't borrow money, they don't leave their dirty boxers on the floor and they don't talk back. Dogs are better than kids in so many ways, so Colenso BBDO and Pedigree decided to target empty nesters to persuade them to adopt homeless pooches. The campaign took home the Grande Integrated Lotus.



Green Light Run

TBWA\Hakuhodo and Adidas used traffic data to create an endless run through Tokyo and launch the brand's flagship running store in Harujuku.


Sumo Girls

Pure girl power in this exhilarating poster campaign for a high school sumo competition. The design from Dentsu Inc was created for the 101st Kanazawa High School Sumo Wrestling Tournament and the team was challenged with showing the sport in a modern and sophisticated light.



Emergency Collectibles 

Families faced with the possibility of earthquake and natural disaster need to be ready to move fast. Japanese newspaper Kobe Shimbun turned a double page spread into a space for families to plan and practice emergency packing. The project was devised by Dentsu Inc and took the Grande for Humanity.
