BBH London’s Managing Director, Adam Arnold is to take on the new role of BBH Global CMO, reporting into Global CEO, Neil Munn. The move will then see Deputy Managing Director Karen Martin promoted to UK Managing Director.

Adam Arnold joined BBH as a graduate trainee in 2000 and rose through the ranks of Account Management. He was promoted to MD of ZAG in 2006 inventing new brands and innovative products for unmet consumer needs - making ideas on paper come to life on shelves at stores including M&S, Next and John Lewis. Arnold was promoted to the BBH Board in 2009 and UK MD in May 2016.

Arnold’s move to Global CMO follows his huge contribution to BBH London’s current success. As part of the Global team, he will be working closely with both Neil Munn and Worldwide Chief Creative Officer Pelle Sjoenell, building the global brand further. Although Arnold’s focus will be global he will remain close to three key UK clients: Absolut, Audi and Google.

Karen Martin joined BBH in April 2016 as Managing Partner and has spent the past 18 months leading the Tesco business, which she will continue to oversee alongside her management responsibilities.

Prior to BBH, Martin spent 14 years in Australia’s ad industry. She was Managing Director of Host Sydney where she ran the agency’s largest account, Bankwest, and won and ran Pizza Hut and Lion Beverages. Prior to Host, Martin worked at BMF (B&T’s Australian Agency of the Decade) as a key member of its Account Management team. In her time over there, she developed some of the most awarded work in the category.

On Arnold’s appointment, Neil Munn Global CEO said: “We decided in 2017 that we needed a Global CMO to really own and drive the business. We have been looking for over 6 months for a leader with both the skill set and a robust understanding of the BBH brand. Adam Arnold is that person and his energy, intellect and proactivity will be key in this new role”.

Ben Fennell, CEO of BBH London said: “Once again BBH has promoted from within.  I am delighted that Karen will be taking BBH forward.  Karen’s infectious energy and personality, coupled with her commercial and creative ambition, will continue to see BBH London grow from strength to strength.”
