BBDO Indonesia appoints Vaishali Sarkar as CEO

Singapore – September 14, 2017 – BBDO Indonesia has appointed Vaishali Sarkar to the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Having spent her first 16 years at OgilvyOne India, and the last decade in Indonesia, she has been instrumental in building profitable business units that include OgilvyOne, Soho Square and most recently Ogilvy Advertising. 

The last decade has seen her bring about significant growth and success for the Indonesia agency, and she has been at the helm of multi-channel campaigns for both local and global brands. Over her tenure at Ogilvy, she has led work that resulted in multiple awards including Gold Echo awards and Cannes Lions. Furthermore, she was the recipient of the prestigious David Ogilvy Award for Excellence. 

Vaishali was drawn to BBDO for their unwavering belief that ‘The Work’ is at the heart of everything they do. Her appointment signals a new era of leadership for the agency and given her extensive market knowledge and integrated background, she will help shape the next chapter of BBDO Indonesia’s success.

This announcement comes as Managing Director, Intan Mokhnar leaves Indonesia after a successful career at BBDO to pursue new interests.

Vaishali will be commencing her role on September 25, 2017.
