‘Alfie: The Odd Job Boy from Clitheroe’ is the latest film from Hoi Polloi director Aaron Dunleavy, co-produced with BBC3.
A factual documentary, it was shot in Aaron’s home town of Blackburn by Aaron himself. The BBC saw the initial edit-selects and asked to showcase it for their strand "Give Me A Voice". They launched the film on the BBC3 Facebook page, where it has already been shared over two thousand times and received over 5 million views in the first three days.
Summing up the film’s narrative, Aaron said: "18-year-old Alfie found it hard to hold down a job, so he now runs his own business with a tandem bike and trailer, and has become a bit of a hometown hero."
