Experiential marketing agency to turn event into national roadshow in celebration of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games

In July Avantgarde and The British Paralympic Association brought a fun-filled day of Paralympic activities to Nottingham, Brighton and Plymouth city centres to raise awareness of disability sport and give people the opportunity to get involved with local clubs.

The public came out in force to try their hand at a variety of sports including wheelchair racing, wheelchair tennis, hand cycling, blind fencing, blind football, wheelchair basketball and boccia.

There was also an opportunity to meet and greet with Paralympic medallists Sophie Wells, Will Bayley, Ben Quilter and Rik Waddon who supported the events.

Avantgarde were responsible for the logistics of the three events, creating and branding the kits, rigging, staffing, booking all venues and sports clubs, and pre-promotion including radio, newspaper, online and guerilla activity like street stencils, bus branding and lamp post branding.

In 2016 Avantgarde will be turning the event into a national roadshow in celebration of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
