Zamile's remit will be to dirve the agency’s creative output as well as collaborate within the production and creative teams

Arnold has today announced the appointment of Zamile Vilakazi as its new Executive Vice President, Head of Integrated Production. A Boston native, Vilakazi will be based in the agency’s headquarters in Boston, working alongside Chief Creative Officer, Icaro Doria, to drive the agency’s creative output as well as collaboration within the production and creative teams.

Vilakazi’s appointment follows the recent additions of Guy Lambert, Chief Strategy Officer, and Lucia Ferrante, Chief Financial Officer, last month, as well as two new Executive Creative Directors in Max Geraldo and Fred Saldanha who joined the agency earlier this year. Vilakazi’s diverse experience aligns to the strategic plan to modernise the capabilities of Arnold, set out by the newly appointed CEO, Kiran Smith. She brings an impressive background in production to the role, having worked on a variety of highly awarded projects across broadcast digital content, short form documentaries, ambient projects, experiential work and beyond. Some of her most celebrated work includes Walmart’s Cannes Lions winning Oscar campaign as well as adidas’ “Here to Create Change” campaign featuring Billie Jean King for the 2018 US Open.

“Zamile makes dreams come true. That’s how I always felt when I’ve worked with her in the past and I’m excited to work with her again now,” said Doria. “She rounds out our creative leadership to bring a unique edge to our integrated production offering as we modernize the agency and our creative offering to clients. She is a friend and someone whom I admire a lot.”

"I was attracted to Arnold’s commitment to redefining itself as a forward thinking player in the modern marketing industry. Ultimately, I am most inspired by the people. Icaro’s leadership, together with dedicated talent across the agency fosters a unique culture that I want to be a part of,” said Vilakazi. “As a producer, I am always looking to tackle the next challenge with a creative, collaborative team. I can't think of a better fit than Arnold.”

For the past six years, Vilakazi has worked as a freelance Executive Producer for a number of esteemed advertising agencies including Wieden + Kennedy, 72 and Sunny, Saatchi & Saatchi, Barton F. Graf, and Mother. During that time, she produced campaigns for adidas, L’Oreal, ESPN, and Target, among others.

Prior to her freelance career, Vilakazi wrote and produced original content in the Y&R Entertainment division and was also on staff in the Saatchi & Saatchi and Publicis production departments.
