Animated Christmas Ad for Migros Tells Story of the People Who Live in the Cash Registers

A co-production between Passion and Stories, this year’s Christmas film for Swiss supermarket Migros is a heartwarming tale that captures the real spirit of Christmas, friendship.
A mix of live action and CG animation, the film has been co-directed by Ben Liam Jones (StrangeLove) and Kyra & Constanin (Passion). The main character 'Finn' lives inside one of the cash desks of the supermarket, scanning the items above with his helmet, but he longs to share the Christmas fun that he sees other people having. It’s when one of the cashiers of Migros notices Finn that he is introduced to all of the other characters living inside the other desks, and he can celebrate a real Christmas with his new friends.
The films seamlessly blends live action and animation. The animated characters have been filled with emotion by Kyra & Constantin, their wide-eyed perspective on their tiny world makes them truly endearing. The live action direction tells the human side of the story making the film feel real and relatable.
