Fausel and Pentel will take on leadership roles alongside Creative Director Jim Wood

AnalogFolk New York has hired David Fausel in the newly created role of Managing Director and Zach Pentel as Strategy Director.

Fausel and Pentel will take on leadership roles alongside Creative Director Jim Wood, with joint responsibility for the running of the agency. Fausel will be charged with leading operations, account management and business development while Pentel will lead New York’s strategy and analytics.

Fausel has spent over 20 years leading teams at Wieden + Kennedy, Horn and kirshenbaum bond + partners, where he first worked with Jim Wood. He has helped build some of the world’s biggest brands including Mercedes, American Express, Guinness and Panasonic. Fausel joins AnalogFolk following a year as a management consultant for several New York-based agencies.

Pentel joins from BBDO New York, where he was most recently Senior VP and Director of Digital Strategy. His recent work includes the Fix in Six campaign for Lowe’s Home Improvement, brand strategy for Major League Baseball, and campaigns for Visa Inc. across its NFL, Olympics, and FIFA sponsorships.

Under its newly expanded leadership, AnalogFolk New York will handle assignments for a growing list of clients that includes Guess, Hoven, and Pernod Ricard.

David Fausel, the newly appointed Managing Director at AnalogFolk New York, commented: ‘I am very excited to be joining Zach and Jim to build AnalogFolk’s presence in the U.S. For digital marketing to evolve it has to be agnostic in where it makes an impact and AnalogFolk has been living that since its inception.’

Zach Pentel, the newly appointed Director of Strategy at AnalogFolk New York, said: ‘I’ve long been a fan of AnalogFolk’s focus on strategy and creative craft. I’m thrilled to help grow the agency in the U.S, and I couldn’t ask for better partners than Jim and David.’

AnalogFolk was founded in London in 2008 by Bill Brock and Matt Dyke. The agency expanded to Sydney in 2011, where B&T named them ‘Emerging Agency of the Year’ in 2012. The New York office officially opened in late 2013.

Bill Brock, Co-Founder & CEO at AnalogFolk, said: "David has seen it and done it at the highest level. He brings an impressive depth of expertise, at the most respected agencies and for an enviable client portfolio. His wealth of experience will be invaluable at the helm of AnalogFolk as the New York office scales."

Matt Dyke, Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer at AnalogFolk, added: "Zach wins over clients and peers alike with his ability to communicate the most intelligent thinking and complex digital concepts very simply. His proven track record of inspiring and proving effectiveness combined with his leadership skills make him the ideal addition to both New York and the global AnalogFolk strategy team."
