What drives Robben on….in the locker room, while kicking, while running, while training? Soup Film Berlin together with Mike Brett and Steve Jamison also known as Archer’s Mark are putting football's most talked about player Arjen Robben in focus as he competes against his strongest competitor yet – himself.
In the spot 'Adidas – Robben vs. Robben', the Dutch striker battles against his own personal standards, only measuring his performance against that of his fiercest competitor - himself. Supported by F50 football trainers - adizero, who are equipped with the latest training system miCoach.
The commercial was produced by Soup.Film Berlin, for cinemas and online in Germany and other European countries including Spain, The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and Slovenia targeting the 14 to 19-year-old football fan demographic. The story was created by Stefan Schmidt of agency Diekertschmidt which is also based in Berlin. Soup.Film also recently signed the directors of the commercial Archer’s Mark to their rooster and now represents them exclusively in the German market. The launch comes just as the ego debate really catches fire thanks to pundit Franz Beckenbauer. Beckenbauer brought FC Bayern Munich’s team spirit into question and called Robben a selfish footballer.
