#ProjectPossible campaign shows off talented artists & builders

Annex films’ David Baksh was asked to direct a series of online commercials for DIY brand Wickes and their creative campaign entitled #ProjectPossible. Award winning short film and documentary director David Baksh followed the lives of inspiring individuals who utilise various Wickes DIY products in the pursuit of their passions. The campaign aims to inspire people to get creative and share stories and photos of their own #ProjectPossible for the chance to win £100 worth of Wickes vouchers.

Architect Alex Haw’s Atmos Studio is renowned for its imaginative, sensuous and sexy designs.  So when it came to making his own Hackney apartment a little more feline-friendly, he tackled the job with typical flair, creating something spectacular for his pussycat, Souxsie, in the process.  To anyone who’s ever taken a brief, Alex’s insights into the designer/client relationship will ring more than a few bells – which is a little strange, as the client in question has four legs, whiskers and a tail.

#ProjectPossible ‘Screws’ film was shot at Laguna Beach, Orange County, CA: the studio of celebrated artist, Andrew Myers. Blurring the lines between sculpture and painting, Myers’ meticulous work has garnered a huge online following.  David’s portrait of the artist unpicks Myer’s process and gets inside the head of someone mad enough to think that driving 20,000 screws, at different heights into a wooden board and then painting each one individually, is a perfectly sensible way to spend the time.
