About

Join us for a screening of our latest creative short film OSU, directed by Judith Veenendaal.

OSU has been selected to be screened at Shortcutz Amsterdam as part of their 24-part series showing how many visible and invisible ways we are connected to each other.

OSU tells the true story of how Legendary Muay Thai fighter Kevin ‘The Soul Assassin’ Ross overcame addiction and fought to chase his dreams. OSU is a beautifully personal short film, with a resoundingly universal message – the fiercest fight is always the one inside your own head. Part art-film, part biography, OSU is a thrillingly unique piece of visual poetry.

"Shortcutz Amsterdam is the only initiative in The Netherlands exclusively focussing on promoting new Dutch film talent, and connecting up-and-coming filmmakers with established professionals.

We promote new Dutch cinema through our network of over 30 partners – including Eye Film Museum, Pathé cinemas, festivals around the world, and several special affiliated events.

Through our weekly sessions at De Kring, we showcase the work of new Dutch film talent, and invite film professionals to share their stories and insight. Filmmakers get the chance to promote their work, talk to their audience, and interact with professionals.

Film-lovers have the opportunity to watch films, learn about new talent, and get to know their favourite Dutch filmmakers.

All films screened at Shortcutz Amsterdam are watched by a JURY TEAM made up of some of the most respected names of the industry and are eligible to compete at the Shortcutz Amsterdam Annual Awards.

And it’s all done while sipping a nice cold beer (or a glass of wine, whatever you prefer – we don’t judge). Check out our EVENTS."
