More children than ever before live in conflict.

Sadly, no matter what the emergency, children always suffer the most.

As the devastation to human life and infrastructure in war-torn areas continues day by day, it’s easy to feel helpless. Normalisation can set in, as well as a sense of hopelessness and not knowing how to help.

Oskar illustration considered what they could do to support causes that give direct aid to those families and children living in conflict. As a collective of producers and artists they decided to use their creative thinking, illustration and marketing skills to launch a fundraising campaign. Creating a piece of art that spoke to their goal by supporting Save the Children’s incredible work.

The ambition for the piece was for it to be thought-provoking, yet simple enough to understand straight away. To evoke an emotion and ultimately inspire viewers to take action and donate.

Oskar illustration’s outdoor campaigning

The brief was simple. To stop people in their tracks, and think about the daily trauma children are living through, deprived of all the normal childhood experiences. The creative shows innocent children taking matters into their own small hands as they attempt to physically (and mentally) rebuild their crumbling lives in the hope of peace.

Having considered setting an end date to reach their target amount, they came to the sad conclusion that there is no end in sight. Every day children’s lives are being irrevocably damaged and brutally cut short. This cause needs urgent attention.

The team at Oi! Commented, “We were all children once. Now as parents, we feel united in the desire to do everything in our power to help #StopTheWarOnChildren.”

Sean Mackaoui (the artist behind the artwork) said, “I’m proud to be doing this in aid of Save The Children and their incredible efforts to be by the side of children living in conflict for as long as it takes.”

Camille Hepworth, community fundraising manager, Save the Children said, “We’re so grateful to Oskar Illustration for their generous support. Save the Children’s work is only possible thanks to our supporters like Oskar illustration and their amazing commitment to make the world a better place for children. Together we’re determined to help every child become who they want to be.”

Please donate here to help #StopTheWarOnChildren.
